Event: A Fusion of Asian Culture For All The Family

The South East Asian Community presents an  extravaganza of Asian delights that is sure to seduce your senses. There will be traditional performances, a fashion show, a kids corner, workshops and cooking demos, as well as stalls selling handicrafts, souvenirs and of course authentic Asian food from countries such as Japan, Korea, Thailand and Indonesia.

The main guest theme for this year is Classical India but there will also be traditional Indonesian dance performances and plenty of activities related to other Asian cultures. Those interested in Japanese culture for instance can take part in an origami workshop whilst appreciating what some of the other wonderful cultures of Asia have to offer.

The South East Asian Community is also proud to announce that the Town Mayor and the Chairman District Council will be attending as special guests and promise the event will be a whole lot of fun for all the family to enjoy! So what better way to prepare yourself for the summer months ahead than by indulging in some exotic Asian culture!

About the programme:

From the opening ceremony at 12.45pm to 5pm there will be variety of classical and cultural performances as well as the modern translation of dance. From workshop to Raffle. This event is part of the Community Cohesion programme of the Chesham Town Council, Chiltern District Council and High street business.
