Are you passionate about the culture of Japan?  Are you interested in Japanese film, anime/manga, J-Pop, J-Drama,  Japanese cuisine?  Are you a collector of Japanese art or a Japanese artist who wants to share and promote your work?  Do you have good knowledge of traditional and/or modern Japan history and would like to write about it?  Perhaps you are someone who has spent some time living and working there and would like to share your experiences. Or maybe you are a native and would like to tell the world about the wonderful area in which you live. Or you may have simply gone to Japan for a holiday and would like to inform people of the many interesting things that you encountered whilst you were there.  Are you a teacher or student of a particular Japanese martial art and want to write about your philosophy and techniques?  Well, get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.

Whatever aspect of this wonderful culture you are into, if you want to write for us, we’d be happy to consider you.  It doesn’t matter whether you’re an established writer or a first-timer, all submissions will be considered, though not all are guaranteed to be published.

We advise all writers to email us their ideas first before submitting any copy in full.  Images are an important part of any feature we post on the blog, so please make sure that those you provide us with are sent with the permission from the sole copyright owner.

We are also interested in those wishing to contribute regularly as a reviewer of films, DVDs, books, music, and/or computer games.

It is not permitted for anyone who has had their work published on Diverse Japan to offer that same piece in full elsewhere – No one benefits from an article or feature that has been duplicated elsewhere on the internet.  A small piece of text used for the purpose of a pingback from other sites is acceptable.

Photography

If you are a photographer you may want to display some of your work within the Gallery page, or, if it is your profession, maybe you would like us to feature your collection as a post on the blog.

Unfortunately, Diverse Japan is not in a position at the moment to offer contributors payment for their work.   However, a brief author profile will be included at the bottom of each post along with any links to their personal websites and/or blogs.
